Cosmetic Dentistry in Newton-le-Willows
Invisalign
Invisalign offers a highly effective solution if you are in search of straighter teeth, or if you would like to close any gaps between your teeth.
Previously, teeth could only be straightened through the use of braces. However, Invisalign offers the latest technology for correcting mild to moderate tooth misalignment.
How Invisalign works is by wearing a series of custom made clear aligners. Over time, these aligners will gradually move your teeth into the correct position.
You can also combine Invisalign with other types of cosmetic dentistry treatments such as teeth whitening.
Dental implants
Dental implants are considered the best option to replace a missing tooth, as they offer the closest replica to the function, structure and overall appearance of a natural tooth.
How dental implants work is that they are fixed into the jaw using a titanium screw. A custom made crown is then placed on top of the tooth. With the proper care and attention, dental implants can last for 20-30 years, which also makes dental implants a long lasting option to replace a missing tooth.
While dental implants will require you to attend a number of appointments, they can provide many advantages over other options.
Composite bonding
Composite bonding is used to improve the appearance of a tooth that is cracked, chipped or misshapen.
In addition, composite bonding can be used to address open gingival embrasures which are sometimes referred to as ‘black triangle teeth’.
As a minimally invasive treatment, composite bonding involves placing the composite material over the surface of the tooth to fill in any gaps. The shape of the material will then be refined before being cured under a light.
For addressing minor cosmetic imperfections in the teeth, composite bonding can provide a quick, painless and also cost-effective treatment option.
Teeth whitening
In search of a safe and effective method of teeth whitening in Newton-le-Willows?
Teeth whitening is a popular cosmetic dental treatment at High Street Smiles. If you are looking to lighten the shade of your teeth, we highly recommend visiting our dentists to ensure you will be happy with the results.
We are a stockist of Boutique at home teeth whitening kits. Following a consultation with our dentists, we can offer you a Boutique by Day or Boutique by Night kit. The Boutique kits allow you to whiten your teeth and also top up your results in the comfort of your home.
Dental crowns
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap which can be placed over your existing tooth to solve several issues, including if the natural tooth is weak or broken.
Dental crowns can be used to restore the original size, shape or appearance of the tooth. Beyond improving the aesthetics of the tooth, a crown can also be used to prevent decay or following a root canal. In addition, crowns can be used to hold dental bridges in place.
To fit a dental crown you will need to visit us for two appointments.
During the initial appointment, your dentist will take impressions of your tooth and you will be fitted with a temporary crown. You will then return to have the permanent crown placed.
Porcelain & composite veneers
Veneers can offer a complete smile transformation, especially if you are unhappy with both the shape and colour of your natural teeth.
Offering a pain-free and minimally invasive treatment option, there are various approaches we can take with veneers. Whether you are in search of a natural look or something more prominent, the results are fully customisable to your preferences.
We can also offer you the choice between composite and porcelain veneers.
If you take care of your veneers, you can expect them to last for between 10 to 20 years depending on the material you opt for.
